- Have superior heat transfer properties [smaller heat transfer surface in the chemical reactors]
Salt heaters can be electric or fuel fired. Salt coolers can be medium or high pressure steam generators with superheaters to provide steam turbine generator input steam.
Small salt systems are normally electric fired package units.
Large salt systems can be either:
- Salt system equipment supplied loose for field erection. or
- Salt system engineering design package [equipment supply by others].
Salt systems can be supplied with engineering and design review of client's salt piping, equipment, controls, and operating instructions.
Construction checkout, operator training, and startup assistance is available and is recommended for optimum process plant operation.
